Masterflex SE and Winkler AG agree on cooperation for templine® heating hoses
Masterflex SE, market leader in the field of technically sophisticated hoses and connection systems, and Winkler AG, market leader in the field of heating hoses and heating systems, have agreed on an extensive cooperation. Winkler AG will take over the templine® product group as well as the templine® brand and its marketing from Masterflex SE with immediate effect.
"In Winkler AG, we have found a cooperation partner who will be able to supply our customers with high-quality heating hoses in an even more targeted manner in the future and who will continue to develop the segment, which is entirely in our interest," stresses Dr. Andreas Bastin, CEO of the Masterflex Group. "At the same time, this streamlining of our portfolio is a sensible addition to our range of products and services".
Masterflex has been manufacturing heated hose systems under the name templine® for more than 10 years.
The two companies based in Gelsenkirchen and Heidelberg will work closely together in the future. "Masterflex will continue to supply components for the production of heating hoses," explains Andreas Zenner, CEO of Winkler AG. Among other things, a special templine® series with high-performance protective hoses from Masterflex, which will be marketed with the addition „Protected by Masterflex“, is also planned.
The sales and technical teams of both companies will try to ensure as far as possible that there will be no restrictions or delays for customers during the transition period.back
Keeping you, our customers, in mind – we have now standardized the flask heating jackets and it is now part of our general availability product.
As of now, Winkler offers ATEX industrial heating jackets for flasks in the sizes of 10l, 20l, 50l, 100l and 200l.
As accustomed, we deliver our ATEX products with an extensive documentation for the explosion protection document in accordance with §6 para. 9 of the German Ordinance on Hazardous Materials (GefStoffV).
If necessary, an individual approval according to Directive 2014/34/EU Annex IX can be issued.

In the shareholders' meeting on 17.7.2018, the change of legal form from Winkler GmbH to Winkler AG was adopted which became effective with the entry in the commercial register on 31.1.2019. This step is the consistent continuation in the steady development of the corporate culture of Winkler. Over the past years, we have developed into a real "Participation Company", whose growing success is being driven by more and more people wanting to join in as shareholders.
The management of the company remains in the hands of the previous managing directors Andreas Zenner and Markus Medek. The experienced team will continue the successful corporate strategy of Winkler AG as Executive Directors and, as in the past, remain the majority shareholders. Mr. German J. Schild was elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board.back
Recertification has been completed successfully. On May 16-17, 2018, TÜV Süd Product Service carried out an external audit at Winkler. This year's repeat audit was all about the new ISO 9001:2015 and the pr-EN-ISO / IEC 80079-34:2017. The standard update innovation and our broad ATEX product portfolio required more intensive and extensive preparation than in recent years.

As of now, Winkler's ATEX products are provided with QR code and NFC tag. When scanned links to the internet platform “mySupport.org”, where the product-specific documents can be viewed and downloaded.
The ATEX documentation, which is a part of the explosion protection document provided by the plant operator, can be download after registration and activation of the product.
The benefit is that these documents are filed and can be retrieved at any given time.

Winkler launches system approved heated hoses with EU-type examination certificate. Winkler has now a complete ATEX product portfolio along with the already established system-certified analysis lines and heating jackets.
For these hoses an extensive documentation for the explosion protection document in accordance with §6 para. 9 of the German Ordinance on Hazardous Materials (GefStoffV) and the up-to-date EU-type examination certificate is available. An additional advantage is the omission of the acceptance on site. The heated hoses can be installed immediatly following the instruction for installation and the operation manual.

System certified ATEX products from Winkler have been successful on the market for several years. They safely and reliably deliver the heating power necessary for an optimal process flow in customer systems requiring obligatory monitoring. Winkler is now once again sustainably improving the safety of ATEX systems. Applications up to SIL3 can be realised using flexible heating devices with immediate effect. ATEX-relevant temperature measurement with PT100 sensors and the appropriate, associated temperature evaluation units (controllers / limiters) from Jumo make this possible. Temperature measurement from the sensor through to evaluation is performed by means of the JUMO safetyM STB/STW Ex 701155 electronic safety and temperature monitor / limiter. A specialist joint article on this from Winkler and Jumo has been published in the latest JUMO customer magazine "sensors + automation" 02/2016.back
Winkler sponsored the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences team at the Shell Eco-marathon in London, with money and payments in kind. Shell Eco-marathon is the world’s largest energy efficiency race and takes place every year in Europe, America and Asia. The aim is to construct (and race) a vehicle that can cover a certain distance with as little fuel as possible. Winkler’s heating cables and heating foils brought major vehicle components to operating temperature prior to the start of the race, thus significantly contributing to the team’s success. The Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences team car achieved an equivalent of 466.9 km per litre of fuel, landing them in 17th place, which was a good result.
