This project started with an article written in collaboration with the company JUMO in 2016, which explained how the combination of JUMOs’ SIL products and Winkler AGs’ ATEX products works (click here to read the article).
The customer safety specifications included, in addition to ATEX requirements, also SIL3.
We then implemented all these to manufacture the heating jacket utilizing three EX-e- Pt100 3 wire sensors from JUMO and the appropriate Safety temperature limiter JUMO safetyM STB/STW.
With this ATEX/SIL option we are able to offer you, our customer, an extensive portfolio for the hazardous area.
As expected, interest in this first shareholders’ meeting on Thursday 2nd July was especially high. The 30 shareholders attending this year’s event represented some 99.38 percent of Winkler AG’s capital stock.
Shareholders’ meeting ratifies acts of the managing and supervisory boards unanimously.
Our ATEX heating jackets are designed to suit the individual requirements and the different setups of our customers. To ensure perfect fit of our jackets we offer the awesome feature of 3D model printing if the original object cannot be provided.

We also produce very large heating jackets for tanks and containers. The one shown in the picture is over 2 m long and has a diameter of almost 1 m. The system is divided into 2 heating circuits with 2,000 W per heating zone and 2 Pt100 (for controller/limiter operation). In combination with our temperature controllers a safe and precise operation is guaranteed. The L-300 (AC) series, which has already been successful for many years, will have a brother on the DC side for use at 12 - 48 VDC. A likewise fully electronic, wear-free switching element provides with up to 20 A for a permanently safe control of the heating. A user-friendly "plug & play" installation is made possible by the permanently self-optimizing Fast Adaptive Tuning (FAT) control algorithm. Thanks to IP67, the temperature controller designed for the connection cable is also suitable for rugged outdoor use - all this at an overall attractive price. Winkler manufactures under templine® brand heated hoses for particulary demanding applications, such as for loading hot bitumen at 200 °C. The example shown here has a nominal diamter of DN 100 and an outside diameter of 175 mm. The heated hose is protected by a high-perfomance spiral hose from Masterflex and has indestructible silicone end caps at both ends. The entire, very robust structure is designed for continous industrial operation.back
Keeping you, our customers, in mind – we have now standardized the flask heating jackets and it is now part of our general availability product.
As of now, Winkler offers ATEX industrial heating jackets for flasks in the sizes of 10l, 20l, 50l, 100l and 200l.
As accustomed, we deliver our ATEX products with an extensive documentation for the explosion protection document in accordance with §6 para. 9 of the German Ordinance on Hazardous Materials (GefStoffV).
If necessary, an individual approval according to Directive 2014/34/EU Annex IX can be issued.

Masterflex SE and Winkler AG agree on cooperation for templine® heating hoses
Masterflex SE, market leader in the field of technically sophisticated hoses and connection systems, and Winkler AG, market leader in the field of heating hoses and heating systems, have agreed on an extensive cooperation. Winkler AG will take over the templine® product group as well as the templine® brand and its marketing from Masterflex SE with immediate effect.
"In Winkler AG, we have found a cooperation partner who will be able to supply our customers with high-quality heating hoses in an even more targeted manner in the future and who will continue to develop the segment, which is entirely in our interest," stresses Dr. Andreas Bastin, CEO of the Masterflex Group. "At the same time, this streamlining of our portfolio is a sensible addition to our range of products and services".
Masterflex has been manufacturing heated hose systems under the name templine® for more than 10 years.
The two companies based in Gelsenkirchen and Heidelberg will work closely together in the future. "Masterflex will continue to supply components for the production of heating hoses," explains Andreas Zenner, CEO of Winkler AG. Among other things, a special templine® series with high-performance protective hoses from Masterflex, which will be marketed with the addition „Protected by Masterflex“, is also planned.

Under this keyword Winkler AG presents a new series of heaters for industrial containers. Benefit from energy savings of up to 30 % and an optimised connected power.
Energy efficiency, durability and easy handling were the focus of this new development. This is reflected in an optimised design using high-quality materials and components. Useful accessories such as insulation covers complete the range. In contrast to conventional products, the heating element is drawn into pockets, which achieve higher efficiency through more even heat distribution and at the same time give the heating mats a supporting structure. Construction and design ensure an optimum contact with the surfaces of the drums, containers and gas cylinders to be heated. In addition, the smart design simplifies handling to such an extent that the heaters can be quickly and safely applied by just one person - without slipping or readjustment. Safety first: Safety capillary tube thermostat with 0-90 °C or the electronic controller enable the implementation of modern safety concepts such as a fixed setpoint for safe operation and against unauthorized operation. Gas cylinder heaters are designed exclusively with electronic temperature regulator/limiter to ensure that the maximum permissible temperature of 50 °C as specified in the relevant standards is safely maintained.back
