Drum, Container and Gas Bottle Heaters for Filling and dosing

Drum and container heaters are used to heat up liquids in drums, canisters, buckets, hobbocks and IBC containers. Depending on the application, different amounts of heat are introduced to keep the contents at an optimum processing temperature. Thereby the viscosity can be reduced to allow for easy pumping and crystallisation can be avoided. Gas bottle heaters are used to heat compressed gas cylinders, e.g. to prevent icing at a large withdrawal rate and thereby to avoid negative effects on the required gas flow.

Features

Winkler drum, container and gas bottle Heaters are flexible heating jackets, that are intalled directly on the container. Thus they allow a very efficient and space-saving heating directly on site. The even laying of the heating cable as well as a cosumized temperature control avoid overheating of the container and its contents. The robust design and high quality materials and components ensure a safe and reliable operation.

Drum Warmer Series WODL

For drums, canisters, and cans of all types, makes, and materials - even made of plastic - suitable for 30 to 220 litres. For tempering up to 70 °C.

  • Outer jacket consisting of PTFE-coated, silicon-free glass fibre fabric
  • Fastening via robust tension straps featuring adjustable snapping clasps
    and fastening hooks (enclosed)
  • Heating with fluoropolymer-insulated heating conductor with protective conductor braiding
  • Temperature regulation with capillary tube safety thermostat 0 - 70°C
    (Made in Germany) with On/Off switch, 2 control lamps and 3.0 m connecting cable with plug
  • Safety function: if the measuring system is accidentally destroyed
    (drop in capillary pressure), the thermostat switches off permanently.

Drum heaters series WODS

For steel drums (and round steel cans and hobbocks) of all types and makes suitable for 30 to 220 litres. For quickly heating and melting up to 120°C. Heating time approx. 10 h (200 l water from +20°C to +95°C with three 1,000 W drum heaters.

  • Outer jacket consisting of silicon-coated glass fibre mat > high mechanical resistance, smooth surface. Moisture-protected and chemical-resistant surface (washable). No thermal insulation.
  • Fastening via hooks and tension springs.
  • Temperature controls: recently developed 0 – 120°C capillary tube safety thermostat (Made in Germany) featuring on/off switch, 2 control maps and 3.0 m connection cable with plug.

For steel drums (and steel round cans and hobbocks). All types and makes suitable for 30 to 220 litres. For heating and tempering up to 200°C. Warm-up duration approx. 24 h (200 l water from +15°C to +80°C with a 1,200 W drum heater).

WODH Series Drum heaters series WODH - with two PT100 Sensors

For steel drums (and steel round cans and hobbocks). All types and makes suitable for 30 to 220 litres. For heating and tempering up to 200°C. Very precise and safe temperature regulation with 2 PT 100 (1x controller, 1x limiter).  Increased power of 2000 W. Warm-up duration approx. 18 h (200 l Wasser von +15 °C auf +80 °C with a 2000 W drum heater).

Drum heaters series WODW

For use in the foodstuffs industry and for pharmaceutical applications. For steel drums of all types and makes suitable for 200 to 220 litres. For heating and tempering up to 200°C. Heating duration approx. 24 h (200 l water from +15°C to +80°C both heating zones switched on).

  • Outer jacket consisting of white, silicon-coated glass fibre fabric
  • Fastening via robust tension straps featuring adjustable snapping clasps
  • Heating with fluoropolymer-insulated heating conductor with protective conductor braiding. 2 heating zones (top/bottom).

Container heater series WOC 

Suitable for 1,000-litre IBC containers of all types and makes. For tempering up to 90°C. Direct and equal heating from all four sides. The WOCD insulating lid may be used additionally.

  • Outer jacket consisting of water-resistant polyester weave. Double thermal insulation consisting of glass fibre/needled felt.

Drum base heater series WODB for steel drums

For heating and tempering via the base up to 150°C. For steel drums (and round steel cans and hobbocks) of all types and makes suitable for 30 to 220 litres.

  • Housing consisting of robust 2 mm thick steel sheeting. Temperature-resistant coating. Insulation keeps the floor from heating.
  • Heating with integrated silicone heating mat; equal distribution via the base surface.
  • Temperature controls via a 20 - 150°C capillary tube thermostat featuring 2 control lamps and 2.0 m enhanced connection cable with protective contact plug.

Florett sensor WFXX1004 for measuring the temperature of the medium

The floret sensor is suitable for all types and makes of 220 l drums. The Pt100 sensor in the tip of the sensor easily connects to the WRW-200 controller-limiter combination to provide point-precise temperature measurement. The Pt100 sensor (2 conductors) switches the drum heater off after reaching the desired medium temperature and protects the medium against overheating and thermal damage.

ATEX IBC container series WEXHCIBC

IBC containers are used for protection against frost, temperature maintenance and process heating in the temperature range from -40 °C to +200 °C
