Exhaust Gas Measurement Technology

Heating solutions in exhaust gas measurement technology

Heating is very important in engine and roller test beds. Heated lines are used here, for example. They serve to keep the measurement gases, e.g. from the manifold, at an exact temperature during transportation to the analytical measuring equipment.
The analyser is often accommodated in an adjoining room. We offer heated wall ducts in our product programme in order to overcome this hurdle without heat loss. These wall ducts can be connected together with our heated lines in an uncomplicated way using the tried-and-tested Quick-Lock or Quick-Connect systems. The connection systems have no cold spots and thus prevent a drop in temperature of the media transported.

Heating jackets and heating mats are also used in the engine and roller test bed environment. Often large tube sections or flanges, e.g. with diameters of 70 mm, have to be heated. But small and delicate heating jackets, to heat T-pieces or nozzles for example, are also specialities of ours. Heating tapes are also used in some cases, for heating dilution tunnels for instance.

Stricter legal requirements and steadily improving measurement technology will continue to raise requirements in this area. Therefore, heating within an analytical system represents a major element of every facility, and this is where Winkler, as a specialist, can always offer the perfect solution.
